My Dinner Date

Coming to my senses I saw a figure slumped opposite me, white-faced. My heart jolted, adrenalin cleared my vision, and comprehension followed gradually… a narrow alleyway, and reflected in a dark shop window… myself. Relief flooded my veins.

I scanned the gloom. Not far away was a bundle of clothes. A pair of white legs, splayed pitilessly. A girl’s face, eyes staring. Dark shadows ebbing from a throat torn open. Nausea rose inside me and I vomited. As I wiped away the bile, it was mingled with the blood already on my face and hands. My own blood ran cold.

  1. Lovely build up Jenna, and a great conclusion! Well done!

  2. Blimey, Jenna. Just like when I was a little boy watching Dr Who, I am hiding behind the settee. Excellent stuff!
