Titration of the Spirit

Stephanie was always the perfect wife. When we knew she was dying, she insisted I clone her. We didn’t want to lose each other.

Stephany was genetically modified for heightened intellect and a flawless complexion. Stephanie would have approved. She was beautiful and loving.

Steph-Anne had all the positive attributes of the other two, mentally astute and physically stronger but not so affectionate.

Steph-Ann was a divine creature. She accepted me as a companion but seemed sometimes distant, inattentive.

Steph was cold, aloof, intelligent, but little resembled my wife.

How far can you dilute a soul, before it disappears entirely?

  2. Good question that, Oonah! And one of the best takes on cloning I’ve read.

  3. Oonah, you don’t need to clone a woman, just stay married to her for long enough and you achieve the same effect ;-)

    Nice flash. Cheers,
