Sweetest Revenge
Itsy Bitsy thrust her poisonous fangs into her human tormentor.
It had been years since the spout incident, but Itsy could still hear the barking laughter the cruel girl had made as she had fought for her life against a torrent of water. Itsy had lived and thrived on insects, mice and finally coyotes, until her bulk could barely fit through the sewer tunnels she’d made her home.
The skin of her tormentor’s abdomen yielded easily, and she whimpered as Itsy Bitsy’s eggs poured into the fat flesh. The girl would do more than whimper when Itsy’s eggs hatched.
This is a very creepy twist on “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” song. It packs a whopper of a punch for 100 words, and the ending was “hatched” with surgical precision. This is perhaps the best 100 word story I’ve read. It’s just a shame that I won’t be able to sing that song to my kid anymore.
