Word Association: Thank You, Dean Koontz

“Visceral” is my favorite word. I love it… defines me. Notice the beginning: Vis. Sounds like a hiss, a lizard’s kiss, a cat’s warning, a snake tasting wind. Then rrrrr. A running buzzsaw–sharp, fast… cutting.

A happy thought.

Then, ullll. Vision of a post-ejaculatory nirvana. Euphoria of the baser kind.

What a word. Bloody, gut-filled. A holiday-wrapped word.

It’s who I am.

A connoisseur paying homage to Hieronymus Bosch.

Fear me.

My story was written on your daughter–while she breathed.

You wanted me found… here I am.

Now it’s your turn.

  1. SPOILER ALERT****SPOILER ALERT

In case the title is too cryptic, let it be known this piece of flash is an homage to Dean Koontz’s incredible, and incredibly evil antagonist, Edgler Vess, from the famed author’s masterpiece “Intensity.” Anyone who’s read the book will understand.
