A Milestone

I like to think that every day is a red-letter day here at MicroHorror, whether it be a bright arterial red or a darker venous hue, but today is particularly special. My fiends, it is an unequaled pleasure for me to announce:

STORY #2000

Special congratulations go to newcomer Andrew Lyman, whose story “The Long Trail and Its End” holds the singular honor.

I still remember how happy I was when MicroHorror’s library reached the triple digits, because it meant that my little idea had caught on. But two thousand? That’s a number to make anybody (or any body) sit up and take notice, and I am extremely happy and proud.

So what does the future hold? Bigger and better, that’s for certain. I’ve got lots of exciting ideas, including a major project I’m going to unveil in the next couple of days. Thank you, everyone, for helping to make this a success.

  1. Congrats on the 2000 tale milestone. Micro Horror is a great site, and I’ve read a lot of good stories here. I hope to read more and contribute more. I think you have a tiger by the tail.

Let’s hope we’re all around to celebrate the 20,000th story.

  7. That’s amazing. MicroHorror has certainly proven its clout and stay-power.

I remember way back when I first started attempting to publish my little stories. Who was the first to bite? MicroHorror! Now here I am over 60 stories later, publishing all over the place. But I wouldn’t have gotten this far if not for Nathan giving me the confidence to move forward.

Congratulations to Mr. Lyman, Mr. Rosen, and of course, MicroHorror!

    Here’s hoping for another 2,000!

  8. Congrats, Nathan! I too had my fiction first published here: THE LUMP, on April 20th, 2009. And now, not even a year and a half later, I just sold a book to Grindhouse Press! You’ve given a lot of great authors their first break. You should celebrate this accomplishment… or rather, WE should celebrate together this weekend at Horrorfind!

Excellent work, my friend! Congrats, again. :)

    Take care,

    III
