NEWS: MicroHorror Has a New Home!

That got your attention, didn’t it? I exaggerate, though– it’s not really a new home. Call it a home away from home, a place to visit, like your cool uncle’s house. You know, the one who lets you stay up until three in the morning watching horror movies and eating candy, but never lets you open that one locked door that he says goes to the basement and there’s nothing interesting in there, but you’re not sure he’s telling the truth because when he goes down there you can hear voices chanting in a language you can’t understand, and once, just once, you thought you heard someone scream?

I digress, and how.

To unpack the metaphor, the uncle is Tom Blunt, horror blogger/columnist/interviewer/gadabout for AMC, and the house is his personal blog, Hermitosis.com. (Don’t ask what the basement door is.) Tom wishes to reprint one of his favorite stories from the MicroHorror archives on his blog every week, just to broaden the audience and highlight some gems that may have gotten overlooked. If you get an e-mail from Tom asking permission to reprint a story you’ve written, I hope you’ll say yes.

I’ve babbled long enough. Head on over there and see Tom’s first weekly pick: Oonah V Joslin’s “Best Laid Plans”!

  1. And Oonah was delighted to be invited to the house but she checked it out first - just to ake sure she didn’t end up in that cellar - naked on a table and maybe surrounded by fruit - if you get my drift :) As it turned out Uncle Tom is devastatingly handsome and very hospitable. He does a good pork roast - I think it was pork… and you can clret yourself comatose. So if you get invited too - do go.
