NEWS: February 19, 2007

Hello again, kiddies. It’s been a while since I made a post on the front page, but if you’ve been paying attention to the Recent Stories log on the sidebar, you’ll have seen some great new additions. I thought I’d make a post to call attention to them, but I wanted to know if this whole thing is working out for you. Did you like things the way they used to be, where stories got posted in chunks along with posts on the front page? Do you like it when the stories are added fresh to the sidebar and archives, and then I post after the fact? Or would you like the stories to just show up right on the front page? Your feedback is most appreciated.

Anyway, recent days have seen some great new reprints from Sean Ryan and Tyler Lizenby. Charles Richard Laing has returned. Ken Goldman and David Nordahl made their debuts, and even I wrote a new story, ripped from recent headlines. (If you don’t know what it refers to, well, I envy you.) Here goes:

The Internet Moves at the Speed of Greed by Nathan Rosen
One Day In Summer by Ken Goldman
Her Fingernails are Razor Blades by David Nordahl
Fame by Charles Richard Laing
Ahh, at last a good night’s sleep. by Tyler Lizenby
What Day is This? by Sean Ryan
A good fire is a work of art. by Tyler Lizenby
It looked kind of like creamed corn. by Tyler Lizenby
Zombie Makeup by Sean Ryan

And finally, another MicroHorror.com Call to Arms: Baltimore’s historic Senator Theatre is in danger of foreclosure! The Senator is one of the last remaining movie palaces of the 1930s, and it’s not only a local institution but a true national treasure. They need to raise $109,000 by 1:30 on Wednesday, or the building goes on the auction block. The bank refuses to grant any delay or extension. Please, make a donation via PayPal at the Senator’s website! Save this beautiful theatre!
