In my previous post, I announced that Sarah Clarke would be illustrating the winners of the creature story contest. Well, after giving the matter some thought, I decided that since she’s the one doing the artwork, it’s silly that I should be the one who decides what she draws. It is my pleasure to announce, therefore, that not only will Sarah create the illustrations for the winning stories, but she will also serve as guest judge. If you want to win the contest now, you’ll have to impress both of us.

Also regarding the contest, I want to apologize for the time I’m taking to get to some submissions. With computer problems, a busy schedule and the sheer volume of entries, I’m running a steady 3-4 days behind. I promise you that I will get through all of the submissions, even if I have to run into November to do it. In the meantime, I ask your patience, and I humbly request that you please give me 7 days in which to respond before you send a “Did you get my story?” e-mail. Thank you for taking pity on this poor old zombie pirate.
