NEWS: The 2008 MicroHorror.com Story Contest Begins!

It’s October again. I can feel it in my bones. (Well, they’re not really my bones, but you get my point.) That means only one thing around here: It’s time for the third annual MicroHorror.com Story Contest!

Ladies, gentlemen and other monsters, there’s no extra word limit this year, so feel free to make use of the full 666. There is, however, a theme, and I’ll be expecting everyone to work with it. The theme of the contest is…

CREATURES.

That’s right. Creatures. Interpret that however you wish. I want to see your best creature stories of up to 666 words, and I’ll be judging based on originality, scariness and all-around quality.

And yes, of course, there will be prizes. Exactly what they are will be announced later. I like keeping you folks in suspense like that.

In the meantime, get to work. Read the fine print and complete contest rules, and start writing.

Let the creature features… BEGIN!

  1. I know a whole bunch of creatures who are just itching to get strated – or maybe they’re just itching – you know…

and of course I’m itching too, but that’s normal for me!
